Memphis Nightlife

Memphis is the home of the blues and Elvis. Whereas I do realize both began in Mississippi, I think I am correct in stating tht they are at home in Memphis. After all, if you were from Mississippi wouldn't you state that you were from anywhere else (even Tennessee) if you could?

Nonetheless we perused the grandness that is Beale Street and had an amazingly fantastic time. Beale Street is the type of gross tourist trap that makes America beautiful. A dirty, grungy street that excels in overpriced t-shirts and cheap beer. You are allowed to drink on the street (which both Chrystal and I have agreed is a law that needs to be enacted nationwide) and the sight of people drinking fruity drinks from yard glasses is commonplace. It was fairly happening on a Sunday and we can only imagine how the place goes crazy on a Friday night.
